Faith In Nature

Another favourite set, this time from The Hostess Selection in the current SU catty.
Faith in Nature lends itself beautifully to water colouring. I actually used my SU Blender Pen, to pick the colour up from my ink pad and painted the colour on. I used a sponge to add the distressing around the edges and the new ruffle ribbon.
I am really please with this card and can see me making lots with this set.

Mocha Morning Cards

Hello everyone, thank you for looking in this week. I am very behind adding my cards as these have been made for 2 weeks.
Anyway the papers are from the beautiful Mocha Morning Designer paper pack. This set is so stroke-able as 4 of the sheets are velvet papers.

The butterflies are the smaller ones from the Bigz Die, Beautiful Butterflies.
I can see me making lots of these little square cards, using this butterfly as I have so many 4 x 4 cards that need using up.
Thanks for looking.

Tea light Boxes using Mocha Morning papers

Hi everyone,
thank you for calling in today.
I spend a good few hours yesterday perfecting my dimensions for this little tea light box. First I tried it in inches but it just wouldnt come together properly, so I re-measured my 3 tea lights in cm and this worked out must better. You should see the bits of card that I wasted on this. I can see me punching out flowers with it. I used Homebase tealights.

So for the base (to put the t/ls in), you need a piece of card 8cm x 17cm. Score at 2cm,6cm along the 8cm side and at 2cm and 15 cm along the 17cm.

For the outside of the box, you need a piece of card measuring 13 x 13 cm.
Score along one side at 1cm, for the flap to tape up, 3cm, 7cm and 9cm.

Hope you enjoy making these lovely gifts.
I used the Mocha Morning papers, which have some beautiful velvet papers.
these can be ordered from me if you don't have an Stampin Up demo.

thanks for looking.

Sizzix Daisy Die 2.

For this card I have used the Sizzix Daisy 2 die for the flower. Designer papers Greenhouse Gala and the embossing folder Trellis from the new mini. Ribbon from my stash.
Im not sure whether to add a sentiment, it might just be too much.

Plain and Simple

I have made this card today for my Dad for Fathers Day. As he is in a home for elderly people with Dementia, I have used his name rather than DAD on the front. This is so that if anyone picks up the card and walks away with it, the carers will know who to give it back too.

I have used Plain and Simple from the Mini Catty and Schoolbook Serif alphabet from the main book.

Wednesday 11 May 2011

Baby Tees and Bundle of Love

My daughter Shelley phoned this evening to ask for a baby card for tomorrow. This is normal, don't panic. So I looked on Splitcoaststampers for some inspiration and saw a card like this. So I cased it lol. Well you have too dont you.
The Babygro is from Baby Tees jumbo roller and the little teddy is from Bundle of Love stamp set as is the sentiment.
Ive used the label punch from the new mini catty to cut out the bottom.
